Website design
A custom website — fast, accessible and ready for Google from launch day.
Book a callA website designed around your business, not adapted from a template.
Most of the websites I deliver are custom-coded rather than built on a general-purpose CMS like WordPress. In practice, that means no plugins to update every week, fewer weak points, a faster site, and the freedom to grow it without being boxed in by a theme.
Custom doesn't mean locked. If your team needs to edit its content, I add a simple editing interface designed for your pages and nothing more. And when WordPress or Shopify genuinely make sense — a very large catalogue, say, or a tool your team already knows — I build on them. Either way, the standard is the same: a fast, accessible website, ready for Google.
A website people find, not just a nice-looking one.
On every website I deliver, search visibility is handled from day one: on Google, in AI answer engines, and on Google Maps. That's often what separates a website that simply exists from one that brings in customers.
-
Search engine optimisation
Heading structure, meta tags, internal linking, structured data, sitemap and performance: the technical foundations Google needs to understand and rank your pages.
-
Answer engines
Clear, structured content, so that ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews can cite your business when someone asks them the question.
-
Google Business Profile
Your Google Business Profile optimised and linked to the website: categories, services, photos, reviews. To appear in the local top 3 and on Google Maps.
Sea Kayak Adventures: top 3 in local search for its main keyword within 2 weeks, and 75% more enquiries through the website. Read the case study
Three packages, always a custom website.
Custom code rather than a CMS, WCAG 2.2 accessibility by default, performance and technical SEO built in from the first mock-up.
01Brochure website
Present your business, reassure your visitors and make them want to get in touch. Every page is designed around one clear goal, from the first screen to the contact form.
02E-commerce website
Catalogue, product pages, basket, checkout. For most stores, I build the site from scratch on a robust database. For a large catalogue, I rely on Shopify or WooCommerce, which are designed for that volume.
03Service website
For businesses that sell a service: appointment booking, quote requests and contact journeys designed to turn a visit into an enquiry.
What's included, without you having to ask.

What people ask me most often.
How long does it take to build my website?
Between 2 and 8 weeks, depending on the size of the project: a brochure site of a few pages is quicker than a store with a large catalogue. The timeline is agreed with you from the start.
Why not use WordPress?
A custom-coded website is faster, needs less maintenance and has no plugins to keep updating. WordPress is still an option if you'd rather use a tool your team already knows: we choose together, based on what you need.
Will I be able to edit my website myself?
Yes, if you need to: we plan for it from the start. On a custom-coded website, I add a simple editing interface so your team can update its own pages. When WordPress or Shopify make sense, I build on them. And if you'd rather delegate, changes go through me, with maintenance available as an option.
Will my website rank well on Google?
SEO is included on every website: technical SEO, content structured for answer engines (GEO) and optimisation of your Google Business Profile. For Sea Kayak Adventures, the website reached the local top 3 for its main keyword within 2 weeks.
Will my website be accessible?
Yes: it's built accessible, to WCAG 2.2, from the first mock-up. If you also need to demonstrate compliance — with the European Accessibility Act or the French RGAA, for example — I can carry out an audit.
How much does a website cost?
Every website is custom-built: the price depends on the number of pages, the features and the content to produce. The simplest way to find out is a 30-minute call.
