01 — The context
Ticketmaster France needed a reliable tagging plan for Kinky Boots ticketing, to be hard-coded (no Google Tag Manager), with correct attribution across Google Ads, Meta Ads and TikTok Ads.
02 — Before / after
| Before | After |
|---|---|
| No structured client-side tagging plan | Full technical tagging plan hand-coded, no GTM |
| Missing currency parameter on Meta's AddToCart event | Meta currency bug identified and fixed |
| Double-firing of ATC and Purchase tags on TikTok Pixel | TikTok Pixel duplication resolved |
| Unreliable attribution across 3 platforms | Attribution parameters optimized across Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads |
03 — The result
Tagging plan deployed cleanly across all 3 ad platforms, bug-free and duplication-free — including technical debugging that caught two silent issues (Meta currency, TikTok double-tracking) before they could skew attribution.
04 — My role
Tracking consultant — one-off engagement via an intermediary, code-based implementation rather than a tag manager.
05 — What I took away
Checking each platform individually rather than assuming consistency between them caught bugs invisible to the naked eye — a platform-by-platform check remains essential even on 'simple' tagging.
